Oh Oh Dear!!!! I recently visited The Blue Bell when passing through on our way back from the household waste site. To say it has gone down hill is a stifled comment. Firstly I noticed the curtains which had fallen off and lay in a heap on the seating. Tables we sat at were very sticky and smelled off fish!!! Lets not talk about the toilets!!!!!!! The 4 "locals" seemed unfriendly and just stared at us, as if we should not be there....very uneasy. One was very drunk and urinated in her own clothing, then sat back down at a bar stool. Though the young scruffy barman was fully aware it did not seem to phase him. It seemed such a shame that such a lovely historical venue has been thoroughly neglected by the Landlord. Read the history about the place before visiting and expected more. Will not waste my time again.
