Discovered this pub last night - a rainy Monday in August. Loved it! Timmy Taylors Landlord a huge bonus, as was busty barmaid & cheerfully eccentric looking manager. Being Monday it was quiet but for a few oldies singing along to Moon River. I can see it could get a little crowded at the weekend, but there's more space upstairs. If I wasn't on a mini crawl (and the lure of another visit to The Ship on Wardour St - where busty barmaid made a surprise return appearance as a punter!. I'd have stayed for more than the 2 excellent pints. But I'll be back.

I usually end up in the Ship despite attempts to do other mini-crawls in the area without it. It's a great atmosphere most nights & fun to stare at the freaks, most of who seem to work behind the bar or are bezzy mates with the manager!
As I'm a 40-something male who'se not allowed to play his own record collection unless he's alone in the house, it's great to be in a place where Ian Curtis is still alive & The Smiths never broke up. One can't be fussy, but it would be nice if they'd put on a few more guest bitters now and again - but the Pride & ESB are perfectly decent.
They don't have any Fall Cd's either - so they're not perfect.
