The Red Lion, Betchworth

Turned up at just gone 2 yesterday - a fairly slee[y Monday. Very quiet, unsurpisingly, but ordered a couple of decent pints of Tribute and 2 excellent home-made burgers. The service was friendly and all in all much better than I expected. Would happily recommend.

The Lord Burleigh, Victoria

I've just walked past this place and the Brass Monkey is definitely open for business. Didn't have time for a beer but it looked standard ponced-up decor - with not overly-expensive bar meals. Where do all the old geezers go? To the Wetherspoon's up the road?
