The Fox Inn, Denchworth

I went here with my family as I had heard good things - granted they were from my parents, who by any standards have poor taste in food!

The food was all deep fried, they had ran out of straws so my 2 year old had to drink out of a glass, they had ran out tomatoe ketchup (how that is possilbe for a pub/restaurant is beyond me) and the wine list consited of 4 varieties one of which was liframilch....really?

I had to send my steak back as I asked for it medium/rare and it came well done, when it did come back (after the rest of my family had finished eating) it was medium but had not been rested and their was grease and blood all over the plate, the stilton cheese still had the rind on and the onion rings were so soggy they stuck to the meat.

Honestly unless you like ham, chips and overcooked eggs with nasty German wine to wash it down with I would avoid.
