The Fighting Cocks, Horton Kirby

This pub is a real tonic. A huge effort has gone into turning this place around and it was worth it. The landlord and staff are friendly and hard-working, the food and drink is excellent in terms of quality and price and the lovely new restaurant, garden and river setting is brilliant, as is the play area for your little ankle biters!
I really don't understand some of the negative reviews and can only think they come from jealous rivals as the pub was absolutely full of seemingly happy people when we were there.
It deserves a 10/10 rating so try it out and see if you agree with me and not the knockers .
