The Coastguard Inn, St Margarets Bay

I am afraid customer care is not their strong point. I emailed them twice, kindly asking a little bit of information but they *never* replied. Either they did not bother to send even a short reply, or they never read their mailbox - in which case I would suggest them not to put a "contact us" email address in their website and/or not to advertise their website in their businnes card.

Messrs Maguire, Dublin

I am quite surpised by the previous comments... is it the same pub we are talking about? There was nothing wrong with the pub interiors and atmosphere; the food was more than acceptable or even good (at least for 3 choices out of the 4 we had), and prices normal for Dublin. Coming to the most important point (the beers): the porter was quite good - inferior maybe only to the Porterhouse's stouts, still better than any Guinness I had in Dublin; the red ale was not exceptional but more than drinkable (again, far better than any Smithwick's/Kilkenny stuff).
To me, this pub it is a recommended (if not essential) stop even during a very short stay in Dublin...
