The Strode Arms, West Cranmore

came on this pub by chance and what a find. very friendly staff great drinks and super food. The best ham ploughmans i can remember. tried to book for a thurs evening meal but it was booked solid. others had discovered the joys of this place before us. much groveling got us a table the next night and the food was first class. the range of drinks well priced and something for everyone. when next in the area we will be back. loved it!

The Knatchbull Arms, Stoke St Michael

had a very nice lunch for a party of 6. nothing was too much trouble and we were made very welcome. the range and quality of drinks was great as was the food. we had rented Coombe Cottage (very nice) and this was the local, previous reviews had little praise so with some trepidation we went in, so glad we did as we could have missed out on a lovely pub.
