Ok so I know the pub looks a bit grotty but I would recommend by-passing it and going to the stonking restaurant upstairs. The couple that took over this place a couple of years ago are both chefs who are passionate about cooking with great local food and I would rate the food above Rick Stein or that bloke who runs the Angel any day. A bit pricier than some places but well worth it.
