The Dolphin Hotel, Lydd

One of the best pubs on the marsh. Whenever I visit I'm made to feel like one of the locals. Three real ales on, Harvey's, Banks's and Ringwood all well cared for. Good choice for lager drinkers too Fosters, Carling, Stella and Kronenbourg

They have a small lunchtime menu, mainly bar snacks and I can reccomend the cheese toasties they are excellent. Nice beer garden with smokers shelter and the only pub I been to with an outside TV.

The Pilot Inn, Lydd

I agree with the comments on the Pilot, once a great place (pardon the pun) to eat fresh fish and chips of gigantic proportions now sadly living on a long gone reputation. The other pub 'The B######ia' near the lighthouse as mentioned is a much better choice.

The Red Lion, Snargate

I do not need to trek into the wilds of Kent to visit the Red Lion, I only live about 5 miles away and could not understand why this pub had so many good reviews and not one negative post when the majority of locals seldom or never use it.

My post on the Red lion was my opinion of the pub, made without any personal comments on any prior reviewers opinion. After visiting recently I can only say the pub still rates zero on all aspects other than real ale, which as usual was superb, and its garden.
