The Anchor, Cockwood

Went there for food and a beer on a Sunday afternoon. I thought, because of the reputation, that the food would be excellent. Unfortunately it wasn't, and all the fish dishes that we had were from the freezer, and my cod was thin and very greesy, I was left with the feeling that you have when you have eaten too much old deep fat fryer fat!
Far too much stuff on the menu, much better to have fewer things that are freshly cooked.
Also it's hard to find a seat, not surprising as it's a small pub, but it seems odd to close nearly half the pub at 2 as it's the restaurant bit, when the food is served all day.
The atmosphere of the pub is still great though.
