The Rope and Anchor, Dunham Massey

A real shame this! 11 years ago I went with my girlfriend (now missus) for a meal- it was amazing & the place was packed to the rafters because it was a REALLY superior place. Over the years I have been going an watched the place go downhill. The new owner had just started & was ringing the changes: I went quite a lot last year but went today to find it boarded up!! What a sad testament to our declining country that a place like this becomes flats. Like the 'Bleeding Wolf' if some of you remember what happened there.........shame on you developers.

The Nags Head, Little Bollington

Gone Kaput Closed. Well, renamed actually. I went there with my kids intent on letting them play whilst me & the missus had a chat but sadly this is now a trendy winebar/conference centre 'venue' with no playarea inside. There's still an outside play area which is good but since it was raining we left...... Brilliant for people who hate kids but sadly since they're the future of our species it stinks.... Other countries cater for kids so why don't we?

The Vine, Dunham Massey

I've not been in for a while- the pub has changed hands!! (probably a while ago). Bitter tastes a lot better than before (it used to have an aftertaste...). New menus & good service. Lots of nice nooks and crannies to sit in.
