Sandbar, Manchester

Don't get down this side of town very often as it's a student area and I'm an old git but popped into Sandbar the other night and was really impressed. Great choice of ales and lagers, attentive staff and a good jukey which is all you really need for a good night out. I�ll be back.

The New Oxford, Salford

This gaff pulls off the really difficult task of appealing to a diverse crowd whilst simultaneously making everyone feel at home. Locals, CAMRA tickers, students, business types all rub shoulders here enjoying the well-kept beers. Friendly staff, good jukebox, it's difficult to fault the Oxford.
