Bull Hotel, Barton Le Clay

Popped in to 'The bull' one afternoon (1.00ish) on the way through Barton Le Clay, looking for a place to have lunch. Walked into an empty pub, after a long car journey I needed the loo, went to the toilet which is via the restaurant part, this area was cluttered and dirty. The toilets were absolutely filthy. We decided not to eat here as it was empty, smelly and dirty. However, because I'd used the toilet I thought we'd better have a drink out of courtesy. Didn�t have much cash on us, only cards (didn't want to buy 2 soft drinks with a card) so ask for lime and soda! This was ridiculously over priced. Got the feeling the man serving didn't like to look of us he grunted at us and looked us up and down, like we were going to be trouble of something!?!? Then when my partner decided he didn't want to buy a drink. The man serving told us to leave! Personally insulted us.. Name calling!! We were shocked, this establishment is certainly not a friendly place (well not to visitors) SO steer clear..It's Filthy and the customer service skills of the staff leave a lot to be desired! No wonder the place was empty when we walked in....AT LUNCH TIME, I can only assume the food is as lousy as the service!! I feel sorry for the locals as there isn't a lot of choice for pubs in this village.
