Great bar - not too flashy, not too

I like this bar. It;s a great place to unwind after work - the atmosphere is pretty relaxed, nice decor and generally a table or stools free. One of the best things is that you don't get the same types of drinkers as elsewhere - it's for over 25's - which is very refreshing. It can get a little smoky at times, especially at the end of the week when there's a good crowd in, but nowhere near as bad as Bar Form. I've only eaten here a couple of times, but the food's pretty good - stabndard pub stuff, mostly - I don't know if there's a weekend service though. Also, the bar's open later than most other places - bonus! I've never seen a fight in here - it's usually either too busy or the doormen smooth things over before it gets that far (and they're surprisingly nice about it!) - has the reviewer who said there were lots of fights has ever been to the Taps?!

On the whole, this is a great place to start or finish your evening (or both!) I quite like having a few in the Taps, heading inot the city or for dinner and then stopping by again later. Well recommended.

P.S. I saw a great father/son (?) band there the other week - if the managers read this get them back in!
