Went to the pub for a 30th celebration recently, friends of ours hired the function room upstairs.

On arriving, the pub looked great inside and outside. The food I saw being served also looked great. However, we and many others were quite disappointed by the �spread� that was laid out for the party. A few nachos, manky cut up pizza slices and a huge bowl of hummous.. what the hell??!?!! Never one to complaint about food laid out at parties, but was a bit miffed when the our friends said it was suppose to be �50�s worth! There was so little of it, that by the time I went to get some, only the hummous was left. The only thing worth eating was the birthday cake and that was baked and brought in by my friend!!

On a more positive note.. the beers were good and the barman was friendly and polite. Though quite why the drinks were so expensive for a pub which was a bit out the back arse end of nowhere, I don�t know! I pay less in the west end!
