The Fishermans Inn, Bingley
My husband and I visited the Fishermans on Saturday 27th November, is was cold and snowy outside. The pub was warm and welcoming with a lovely log fire burning in the lounge area. We sat by the fire and viewed the menu and the specials board, there were so many nice dishes to choose from. I chose the lamb chops from the specials board which came with new potatoes carrots and creamed leeks, I could have had it served with salador chips if I wished. It was very well presented and very hot. The meal was perfect, the vegetables were cooked just right and the localy sourced lamb was excellent, my meal cannot be faulted. My husband went for the classic gammon, eggs and chips, it also was well presented and hot,he cleared his plate and also stated that the meal was excellent. I viewed the dessert menu and was tempted with the school pudding choice, lemon sponge and custard but I was so full that there was no more room, instead I had a baileys coffee. The staff were very friendly and asked if everything was okay with the meal, which of course it was, the price was very good. We will be visiting the pub again to sample more of the meals on offer. The location of the pub by the canal is ideal, for families and walkers and the landlord was very welcoming and friendly
