Terminus Hotel, Eastbourne

Visited on a Friday night, probably a mistake as there was a loud-mouth yob outside but seeing as the police were watching closely we decided to carry on inside which was quiet, well customer wise the 80s music was blaring out. However, seeing as the pub had been recommended by CAMRA we decided to put up with the noise and have a good quick pint.
Unfortunately the beer I chose was as bad as the atmosphere. It was called Olympia or Olympic or something similar, I haven't tasted or smelt any beer so sour and flat for years. This type of beer is what gave real ale a bad name back in the 60s.
CAMRA you should be ashamed.

The Buccaneer, Eastbourne

Visited twice early July 2010, hoping the 1st visit was a 1 off bad beer day.
Unfortunately it wasn't.
!st visit had a pint of Bucaneer, hell if a pub sells a beer with its own name it's got to be good hasn't it? You would think so but in this case you would be wrong, it was cloudy and sour.
2nd visit decided to have a pt of Black Sheep, well it tasted good in Masham Yorks, but again it was sour.
What was the problem, was it a warm cellar (it was hot week), dirty pipes, maybe the beers were past there sell by dates, or before there sell by date, or sold before they were settled. Who knows, but this is an ex customer.

The music and ambience were good though and the one meal we had was reasonable,
