The Pillars of Hercules, Soho

Been going here off and on over the years, sometimes a good rendezvous point and then move on! Ale has always been average to good! So hardly worth a post, as not doing anything better than lots of other pubs. BUT, was in a couple of weeks ago and when I ordered a round, I noticed the barman sneakly trying to top up a half filled pint of slops! When I asked him to stop and pour me a fresh pint, he said it was fresh, I persisted and he begrudgingly, and in a state of annoyance, speedily poured another, he finished the round, and I asked him to top the first pint up, which it took 2 attempts to do, temper prevailing!!! When pints cost very close to £4 in Soho, I'm not gong to settle for a sub-standard pint or back down when customer service is a merely an inconvenience! Beer still average to good, but bar service needs to improve considerably!
