The Duke of Wellington, Bourton on the Water

New to the area, now live in Bourton, I can understand why the locals slag off tourists but understand without the tourist money, Bourton would become run down. HOWEVER, walking into this pub ran a chill down my spine.....The young bar staff was friendly and looked relieved when I enquired about part-time work there for one of my kids. We decided to stay for a while and have a drink. Not a great selection of beer, back of the pub was dirty with rubbish.

Not a great advert for the beer garden. .....sorry picnic benches under the willow trees. Heard a bloke shouting and walking into the kitchen with a lit cigarette. It was then I decided not visit this place again nor my kids work there either.

I gave this pub a rating of 1, thats only because the bar staff

The Fox Inn, Great Barrington

. Real Ale was off, barman wasn't interested! even the cola was flat.....
. Pub was dirty, floor sticky, tables wasn't clean
. Ploughman's was awful, the salad looked as if it came off someones else's plate!
. The fish and chips tasted good until my husband too some of the batter off. ONLY TO FIND THE FISH HAD BLUE MARKS ON IT. IT LOOKED LIKE PAINT OR SPRAY.

AND AGAIN THE BARMAN WAS NOT INTERESTED.

However, the waitress was miffed that I was taking photos of the blue markings of the fish

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PUB.

My recommendation is, find another country pub where the landlord IS interested in the patrons coming through their door. There are plenty out there
