The Buccaneer, Eastbourne

The Buccaneer is an open and friendly place with a good choice of food and an excellent choice of well-stored and well-served real ales - normally a choice of four or five at any one time. Nestled between the Devonshire Park Theatre and the Wintergarden Complex, and set back one road from the Seafront, the Buccaneer is a good place to meet. Although there is no terrace to sit on in Summer Days (front or back), the back of the pub has a gorgeous view over the Devonshire Park (and the Tennis Court Centre made world famous for its Ladies Tennis Tournament) and gets an astounding amount of sun hours. It's also a pub free of rough elements, so you'll feel safe and comfortable if visiting, and you'll feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
