The Bell, Weyhill

shearing the same surname as The Bell i thought i would try it out one day. then one night a friend of mine fancied a night out and chose to go for a steak meal at The Bell. having heard it used to be the Harvester i wasnt quite sure as i am a very fussy eater, even more so with my meat. but i decieded to go anyway. what could it hurt. as soon as we walked in though the front door we where seen to our table and as it was evening the table had been finished out with a pair of warming candles. we where allowed as much time as we needed to decided on what we would like to eat that night but where not left waiting. our waitress for that evenig would pop by every few mins to make sure we where not being kept waiting but not enough to be ruining our conversation. after a while we decided and ordered. having chosen the steak is was cooked to exactly how we had asked. though the course of our meal we where allowed to enjoy with out disruptions. after is was apprently we had both finished our waitress come over to collect our plates and ask if we would like dessert. we did, enjoyed a wonderful dessert. after we had finished, again our plates cleared and we where allowed to enjoy our evenings meal and let it settle with out being rushed out the door. we must have been the over half an hour after we had finshed and where not shoved a bill in the face, instead out waitress kept an eye on us, waiting for us to make the move to pay, as soon as we did she came over witht he bill and took care of it all. since that wonderful evening i have revisited The Bell every day i have been able to. i go for lunches, snakes, evening meals and even just for a drink in the evening. i have also become extreamly welcomed by all the family of The Bell and am welcomed by the cheifs when they see me. The Bell is a pub resturant for the idavidual or the whole family, is perfect for the quite night out for the two of you, or a sunday lunch with the parents.
alot has also been added to the bell since my fist time. there is now a free bouncy castle on the weekend. dogs are welcome. live bands on prearraged evenings, a pool team and the newest would have to be the addition to the pub poker league where all can play.

i would have to say that i recommend everyone i know to go to The Bell.

If you have your doubts because of its past, through them out the window, with the NEW family management, new REAL food - which is wonderful no matter what you have, great drinks - including ale, beers, cocktails, The Bell has to be the place to go and enjoy.
