The Ship, Christchurch

I moved to Christchurch many years ago and this pub was then a 'no go' pub. However it has been reburbished to a good standard and seves lovely food. At the weekend there is a jazz or soul band on which is great, this brings in all ages but is wonderful for the not 'old' but not 'young' crowd!!

The menu is varied in the evening with specials also. If you fancy something and call in advance they always have got it in for us. Lunchtimes have a lovely atmoshere especially on market day. Again the menu varies from a three course meal to bar snacks.

It is a shame though that some people on here may be advising on another pub/resturant sharing the same name in Christchurch, as this pub does NOT have a childrens menu, and the manager is a lady (and a lovely one at that) and not a man.

All in all well done THE SHIP INN ( HIGH STREET) you have the balance right and some lovely staff
