The Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace

I used to visit this pub every Friday and Saturday night. With the change of ownership we now have live music in a one bar pub which, acoustically, is simply not designed for live music. I have been in a few times for a pint but the noise is deafening. So many regulars who used to frequent this pub for a chat are no longer present as it is impossible to talk. I myself prefer now to go to the local Wetherspoons. The new landlord can get away with live music in the Summer as those who wish to escape it can get some relief outside. However this will not be an option in the colder months of the year. A decision has to be taken, is the G&G going to continue be one of London's leading real ale pubs or is it going to be the bar for the Sydenham Blues club?
