The Cross Guns, Avoncliff

Visited pub twice now, first time served tomato soup that tasted like warm, watered down tin of tomatoes.... so gave pub another chance a few years later...this time we waited 45 minutes for our meal and my chicken stroganoff was burnt. I was hungry and as we had waited for so long I ate some of it, no one asked if our meal was ok, when eventually someone came to clear I said that my meal was burnt. No apology came so I asked for the bill, I was asked if we had drinks, thinking I was going to be offered free drinks I said we had but no, they were added to the bill!! During the course of our meal other tables experienced problems.... needless to say we will not be returning.
