The Bell, Odell

Although this looked pleasant enough, our first visit today will be our last.
This is due to the unwelcomiing atttitude of the mature lady behind the bar (landlady?) who told us that we must sit at a certain table (not of our choice) and told us off for moving one chair from an adjacent table. We were treated like a school mistress might treat naughty children. We were a family of six adults.
A similar group that followed us in walked out in disgust after a similar treatment. I could not wait to leave. The landlady would be better employed as a traffic warden. Pity, because otherwise we would have been pleased to return as the beer was good.
