The White Swan, Richmond

I had eaten at this pub a couple of times so decided to book it for my birthday sunday roast. I booked a table for 3, little did I know a surprise was being organised and in fact my sister had upped the booking to 10 (and 11 at the last minute). We arrived late, and had wait even longer for the final couple of people to turn up, even so the staff were extremely patient, friendly and really very accommodating. The food, as always, was excellent and not stupidly over-priced considering the area. All 11 starters, then mains, came out of the kitchen hot, on time and together. Several of my group commented on how much they enjoyed their meals and that they would return to the pub again. I don't drink beer so can't comment on that, but I love the pub, I would certainly recommend it and I have every intention of returning. They really did help to make my very special day even more so. I find that the staff are upfront and honest with the service they provide and if there's a reason why they cant do something for you, they will take the trouble to explain why, rather than just saying 'no'. Well done the White Swan.
