wow ... what a breath of fresh air into what i would say is a very moderate area for decent pubs.
Went in the BG last week because i had heard about its new menu.
My only concern about going back into the pub was that it was under the same management it was under last time i was in back in summer 04 but thank god it wasn't.
Give the place a try ... excellent manu comprising of Kangaroo burgers, Springbok & othe exotic burgers & also a superb sauasage menu and all at reasonable prices (better than being ripped off in the pretentious Kro bar & rampant lion or getting crap food at the Oxford & the Varsity) and the staff and the management have all changed for the better .. so if you haven't tried it for a couple of years or so .. give it a whirl and sample the recently refurbished BG. It also stocks a fantastic range of beers incl. trad and a amazing digital jukebox.
