The Golden Gates, Edinburgh

Craig Mcdermott of Publicana destroyed this pub. He put in the same awful woman to run it as he has had running my local in Cumbernauld since October when they finally killed the Golden Gates. This pub was so badly run it closed down and I can see my local going the same way. McDermott should stick to counting bottles and as for Publicana .... well, their running of pubs like this one says it all.

The Maltings, Cumbernauld

Getting worse. I have been popping in the odd time and oh boy what a dump. Not only have all the decent drinkers left, the decent staff have gone also. The place is filthy and the staff are lazy, coarse and couldn't care less. This place will close down again if these idiots are left to run it.

The Woodcutter, Cumbernauld

Well run boozer with a good atmosphere. We've all started drinking here in the last three weeks. We used to drink in the Maltings along the road but its terrible now. It must be the worst run, dirtiest pub in Lanarkshire and the staff now are appalling. As long as the Woodcutter is none of these things we'll be happy here. Well worth a visit and its a good familly pub too.
