The Anchor Inn, Hullbridge

Popped in for a quick pint on a winter Sunday evening. Lots of people dining but the bar was empty. I was ignored for a while then got served by someone who wasn't really interested. Drinks were very pricey! We sat outside and the view was nice, I bet it's busy in the summer. I liked the little touch of the signs for the dogs around.

The Victory Inn, Ashingdon

Good food, great ale but it would be nice to see a larger selection. Staff are friendly, especially like Amy, cocky and full of banter but I like that! I would recomend this place, good for sport and music on the odd occastion.

The Marlborough Head, Rochford

New owners have gone in and ruined what was a good place. She's miserable, rude and quite frankly hasn't got a clue how to run a pub. Most of the staff are either friends or family so unless your face fits, you've got no chance. Stick with the Kings or HnG, much better!
