Bulls Head, Goring By Sea

We booked for a 2pm sunday lunch for 6 adults and 1 baby. We were told immediately there was a 40 min wait for food which was odd as the restuarant section was not full. We ordered food and drinks. Drinks were a bit slow arrivng, then the starter arrived. Tasty soup and crusty roll. The the wait for the main course started, we waited, and waited, and waited. Then after about 45 mins with no update my wife asked the waitress how long it would be. She received a very snappy brusque reponse. The food arrived - which was ok but marred by the wait. Dessert was served fairly promptly afterwards but I thought the crumble was overpoweringly sweet. Pub nicely fitted out, loos ok, beer choice ok.

Overall, not a great sunday lunch experience. Short staffed, I know �11 for started, main and dessert (fixed menu) ain't bad but the wait was just too long.
