The Landseer, Holloway

I went to this pub with a couple of friends who live in the area and were pleasantly surprised. Holloway is not renowned for great places to eat out!
The food was quite adventurous with monkfish tail and crayfish pate being one of the mains, but the chef does it justice. Our waiter told us that the restaurant area is new. It is nicely decorated with a glass roof, lots of plants and candles on all the tables.
There is a nice cocktail menu too, short but well executed. It seems that they only try to do things they can do well. An admirable quality.
Its not cheap, for the area, but we didnt feel ripped off. Especially as they do not add a service charge even though the service was excellent.
