The Ship and Whale, Rotherhithe

Hi I'm John, the new Landlord (as of 21st Oct 2009). My thanks go to the previous poster for a lovely review. I've lived in this area for over 10 years and see The Ship & Whale in many guises, and I've also had my eye on it for a number of years, missing out 4 years ago when it last came up for sale.

Our ambitions are very simple for The Ship & Whale, good wholesome home cooked food, served in fantastic venue, quality ingredients, great wine list and a monthly guest ale.

If you are coming to the pub for the first time, please do ask for me and say hello and I'll tell you about the history of the pub and the area, which is also recreated on the back of the menus.

I've got a great staff team waiting to welcome you to The Ship & Whale.
