The Bear and Ragged Staff, Crayford

I have visited this pub quite a few times over the last year or so and every visit has been a good night out. Live bands play at the pub most weekends, in fact the pub advertises that live music is played Thursday through to Sundays. The bands set up on a roomy stage area and people can stand and watch, dance on the floor in front of the stage or sit towards the rear of the long bar and chill out, chat and listen to the music. The atmosphere on the nights I have attended with my wife and/or friends have been like party nights to some extent, the atmosphere is really good, you would have to go a long way to find a better one. The bands which play at the pub have their own followers and with the appreciative locals of all ages in attendance, a real buzz is felt. The bar staff are friendly and hard working, serving people as quickly as can be expected on busy nights. I would give the pub a visit to try for yourself, you are missing out if you don,t.
