The Shire Horse, Hounslow

Went in on a Friday night at 8 and we were the only customers. We were kept company by a mangy old dog that barked at us every time we went near the bar, and a parrot that looked a bit dead. The barman was friendly and served me a nice pint of Becks, then went and sat with his mrs to watch tv at the other end of the pub. Not a bad little pub but it could do with a spring clean.

I think they must get most of their customers after work during the week cos I've seen a few people hanging around then, but I would have expected it to be a bit more lively at 8 on Friday night!

Also at the moment it has "Rave it Up!" sprayed on the window, which I found quite amusing.

Bar Bhangra, Hounslow

I visited this pub on a Friday night with my girlfriend. There were two bouncers on the door which seemed a bit unnecessary but they seemed polite enough. If you're going to Bar Bhangra then it should be pretty obvious what to expect in terms of music and customers. The music was very loud and everyone was dancing around having a good night. They had loads of bar staff who were efficient and welcoming. I had a couple of pints of good clean lager.

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I chatted to a couple of regulars who were friendly and having a good time.

Bit different to usual sort of pubs I go to but we had a good experiance and will deffo go back again.
