The Barbican Tavern, Plymouth

My Partner & I visit this estabishment most Sundays for a meal and to watch the entertainment..We would like to comment on the unaceptable below standards service we have received on the last two occasions...Sunday 2 August we went to order some food of the menu and were told by the young lasy behind the bar that 10% of the menu was not available due to lack of stock. Visit , Sunday 9th August.. Firstly the entertainment was very poor quality and when landlord was approached, he did not want to know and could not care less...secondly we ordered food.. we were again informed that well over half of the menu again was not available....We did want to order desert but was informed by the young girl that they had run out of cuistard and clotted cream...Talk about sinking ship!!!! Because of the bad service etc i enquired to the young lady as to who manages the pub.. In a very off manner replied I am I'm the manager...Her attitude stunk..We will not be returning......Only if the pub changes hands or they get their act together.. which will never happen!!!!!
