The Black Prince, Kennington

Recently went here after avoiding it for years. Last time I went in around 2006 it was a hostile place with rubbish beer, where the regulars would
Go silent and was very awkward.

The place is now completely different - good range of ales, welcoming staff and a cute little smoking terrace round the back. Will definitely be coming back!

The Tommyfield, Lambeth

This place clearly spent a lot of money on the decor and it does have a cosy dimly lot ambience. Only two real ales - kept ice cold unfortunately. Full of the same crowd who
populated the former White Hart.

Food is not as special as they sell it as. Its basically pies burgers and steaks. Just about value if you go with a half price Taste card deal.

The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

Visited tody and had an excellent pint of Crouch Vale Blackwater Mild. I hear Hackney Council have designated the street part of a conservation area now so it's not going to disappear any time soon.

Unfortunately they had the radio on - and tragically no more salt beef sandwiches! Apart from that it's good to see that some places never change.
