In reply to Rich66: I've found the bar staff helpful on previous occasions when I've asked about the beers on offer. They will give you a small taster if you ask.

The Old English Gentleman, Waltham Abbey
I drove past the pub this morning, and it has been boarded up, so it is definitely closed now. It's a shame as I enjoyed a few of the beer festivals here.

The Morris Clown, Bampton
We tried to go to this pub while on holiday nearby, but it was closed. The only suggestion why were the words "39 days to go!" chalked on a board by the door. Does anyone know what is happening to the place?
