i am one of the DJs now working at the Blue, and I am not afraid to comment - with my identity - on the comments of all you guys posting away.

keep posting! i take pride in what i do - if you think i do it badly, then tell me! if you think i do it well, then come back and enjoy your time spent at the venue.

bottom line... all of your opinions are exactly that, YOUR opinions, which i respect, and everybody else should as well. stop sniping at each other. if you think the service is bad - tell somebody while you are there. if you think the DJs are bad - tell somebody while you are there. if you think the food is bad - well, i think you know what to do...

anon. posts on a www site is one thing, but you can make the Blue into the venue YOU want it to be by showing some balls, and actually telling the people who can change it what you think needs to change.

The Toad at Two Rivers, Staines

i dont usually pay much attention to sites like this but my mate treacle suggested i take alook so i could see what people are writing about the toad.

frankly i am amazed.

so many of you have so much to say but wont put your name to your comments.

some people seem to want to defend the toad all the time, but i welcome the right to have freedom of speech and for all you guys to have a place to post your comments (good or bad) about Staines' busiest venue.

to be honest, i am glad that some of you love the toad and some of you hate it. variety is, after all, the spice of life. if we all liked the same venues, music, drinks, and food, life would be dull indeed.

lets face it, every town has venues where the perception is "great night out" or "lots of fights" or "crappy DJs" or "great food" or "fantastic music" or "no fit birds" or "chavs everywhere" or "rude staff" or... or... or... the list goes on

things are changing at the toad as many of you know. they may be good, they may be not so good. i have seen the new plans (they look great) and met some of the new people (they talk sense). i for one am reserving judgement until i have seen the results.

as a final comment, i just want to thank all of you for the good times and the bad times we have shared at the toad over the last few years, ultimately your cash (whether you think it was well spent or wasted) and presence has helped to make the toad what it is - love it or hate it.

if you know who i am; you may hate me, you may think i am a tw4t (or worse), you may think i am the greatest thing since sliced bread - but i can honestly say that the toad has provided for me some of the best times i have had in my working life, i have met some great people, i have met some utter tw4ts (some turn out to be great people), and more than a few angry words have been exchanged over the last couple of years. but regardless of what you think of me, all the best and keep on commenting !
