The Ship and Mitre, Liverpool

The Ship and Mitre continues to be the best pub in liverpool. There is always one or two people that get a pint of beer that they are unhappy with. If this is the case, ask at the bar and the staff will be willing to change it for you if it is not up to standard. The ship and mitre prides itself on the wide range of good, quality beer that it has to offer including 12 hand pulled ales, aswell as imported draught and many imported bottles. As for serving food, the Ship had to stop serving food for a short period of time, however, they now have a new refurbished area including a new serving hatch, a new chef (Mr Dave Burgan) and front of house staff. This has been done to ensure customers get quality food, at affordable prices, where they don't have to wait a long time if they are rushing back to work. There is a new menu including dishes such as fish and chips, steak and ale pie, homemade soup of the day and specials added to it daily. Food is served mon - fri 12-2 and saturdays 12-6. Buffets are also available. There are also mini themed beer festivals taking place each weekend (thurs - sun) throughout december. This thursday (21st) it is christmas beers, where there will be 6/7 different beers to try as well as the usual 12 on the bar. Food will also be served to compliment this, including homemade mulled wine, mince pies, and a special christmas pasty.
