The Black Garter, Newcastle

Yea we would say lots of these coments are so true.My partener was well aware of the garters repretation and out of the blue one day said "lets go into the garter for one"! and here we are a year on using it as our local.We go out and about but always make the Garter our last stop of the night.The Karaoki could do with up dating but at the end of the day its given us and continues to give us hours of fun.As we have got to know the characters that get in there we have realised that these frightening looking folk are actually good genuine people.The staff are all so friendly and the bouncer is a very loveable lad.(good at his job though)Yes theres trouble ,but its every where, in the Garter its sorted nearly before it begins,thats what I like most about it.Karaoki?we have enjoyed every minute of it.Just last weekend we entered a silly stars in your eye in there!!quess what ? we won!thats Rene and Renarto for you LOL.Dont laugh it won us �50.So there you go thats my opinion of the Garter.My advice is if you like to meet genuine people who are not there to judge you,who you can learn so much from about the city pubs ect then make the effort to go in and return,join in the grim karaoki and look for Billy and Sue .
