Nice friendly pub with a wide range of hand pulls available which the staff are usually knowledgeable about. Prices on the steep side but they offer discount for CAMRA members. Regular live music and a hidden beer garden that is an oasis of tranquillity in the Summer with views of the historic castle.

Re branded as the Penny Black it now offers a range of handpulls at a decent price, with a good discount for CAMRA members. Good place to sit outside in the better weather during the day and watch the world go by.
