The Rose and Portcullis, Butleigh

Arrived at this pub at midday and thought it was closed as it looked very dark inside. We had a lovely meal which would recommend but the service was not up to standard.

Castlebrook Inn, Somerton

Found this pub very friendly. We found the food very good and could not fault our time here.

The Onslow Arms, Loxwood

Arrived at this pub by the canal. It was quite quiet but decided to stay and have a drink and food. The menu was varied but found that the prices were very expensive. We ordered three dishes an American burger, chillie nachos and chicken coq a vin, all dishes were between 9-12 pound. Unfortunately things went down hill from here. The chicken coq a vin which I would not recommend to anyone had two very tiny chicken wings well you could go to say they were not even a chicken wing they were that small, had three little mini carrots which looked as though they had been kept warm from the day before, stringy beans which you could not cut and to top it all I had frozen potatoes. Not impressed.
