The Charles Lamb, Angel, Islington

I think I need to clear a few things up. First of all, as you can see I'm not anonymous and I haven't been asked by owners or staff to post super positive comments to combat the negative reviews. I am a regular and I think the Charles Lamb really is one of the best pubs in London and definitely should have won CAMRA North London pub of the year. The bar staff are incredibly friendly and make a real effort to get to know their customers. To all the miserable gits who complain about the bar staff having fun together and chatting to regulars, if you really would prefer to go to a pub with ever changing agency staff then I'm sure there is a Yates wine lodge near by to meet your requirements. For anyone thinking of trying out the Charles Lamb, I have been going about 4-5 times a week for 2 years and I have never seen any member of staff acting rudely to customers. They have an excellent selection of beer, cider, and wine to suit every taste. The ales are incredibly well kept. I have NEVER had a bad pint in the Lamb. Londonboy's comment about McDonalds is plain pathetic. The food is excellent, especially the sausage rolls. Overall: great drink, great food, friendly atmosphere, friendly, intelligent, interesting bar staff. A winning combination 10/10

The Crown and Sceptre, Fitzrovia

Terrible terrible service..... Rude bar staff that can't admit when they've made a mistake. Oh and if you happen to want to buy a bottle of �100 Dom Perignon, be warned you'll be drinking it out of pint glass as the pub don't own any Champagne glasses.
