Square One, Middlesbrough

Square one in Middlesbrough is the only decent place you can go to now to listen to classic Northern Soul music with Dj`s Wally Black & Andy playing only vinyl records ( no cd`s or laptop Dj`ing ) We need places like this to keep northern soul music alive, there are many event`s around the country playing soul but they are tending to play modern cross over rubbish . But at square one it is 60`s & 70`s northern with a touch of tamla motown thrown in for good measure . the bar staff are very pleasant ( good looking to !!!) I think with a bit more advertising Northern soul at Square one could be a real success ..............
