I know who wrote the last comment and can only say that I am surprised that even they have been shown the door,
A great couple and always most helpful,a pleasure to spend time with.
This pub is a waste of time as if you dont fit in with the landlady you are not welcome.
A truly sorry excuse for what was once a great traditional pub.

The Ship and Anchor, Ford

I visited this pub over the weekend and was dismayed to find it had changed since my last visit and not for the better!
I spent a week camping at the site last year and thought I had found a real country pub,It had a great atmosphere and quite a few really friendly locals who were all most helpful and made our week there a real pleasure.
On this visit there was a new landlady who was very loud and a bit overbearing,I ordered our drinks and enquired about the local people I had met on my last visit and was told that they didnt like the changes that had been made so did not come in any more,they were not needed and were not welcome!!!
The food was vastly overpriced as was the beer,It took an age to get served and the atmosphere was non existent!!
I will not be returning,
