The Rambler Country House, Edale

Do not go to this pub, it is terrible and very over priced. After a long day me and my family called at this pub for some tea. We were extremely hungry and I thought I would have eaten anything. That was until I was served with food I had ordered. Me and my husband both has burger and chips. It was supposedly Prime aberdeen Angus beef. Although I cannot be 100% certain it wasn't because I didn't see the packet it came out of but I would be my life on it that it wasn't. To say it cost �12 or something it was completely slapped together no presentation at all. The actual beef tasted terrible and the chips were green. I asked for my money back as it was not satisfactory at all. This is something I have never done before in my life. The lady behind the bar said it had to go back to the chef. What he was going to do with it I had no idea, but I wasn't about to find out, so we left. Basically we threw �26 down the pan. My son did like his ice cream though. As for the silly rules they have in this pub well, I asked for a pint of tap water (normally I'd ask for beer but I am pregnant). The bar maid replied I can't do a pint of tap water but I can do 2 halves as we sell half pints of bottle water. I said I didn't want bottled water and she replied yes I know you want tap water but I can only do half. I was really confused about this!!! I then heard the waitress fill the 2 half glasses up from the tap.I am still confused!! Also when I asked for my money back the lady behind the bar wasn't interested and stated that she was busy dealing with someone else. When I said the chips were green she replied they are home cooked chips. To which I said the home cooked chips that I make aren't green!! Just take my advice and nearly everyone else on here do not go even if you are starving!!!!
