Duke's Head, Crawley Down

Visited The Dukes Head Last week, used it once or twice when it was a Beefeater and back then it was... - well a Beefeater, they are what they are!! Now it is a private food pub serving what I thought was great pub food maybe even more like a restaurant now than a pub. Great service good food, I thought a good selection. Nice to have a menu without those bad photos of what your food wont look like!! Well explained enthusiastic staff, decent prices if the drinks are a little steep!! All in all a very good experience.

Thank god its no longer a tierd boring Steak House!! Clean, fresh and above all inviting! The food is great, modern British food with a med twist. You can still get steak (If you want!) you can still take your kids (If they behave and dont run around like in most big steak house chains which make the whole experince awful) My kids loved that we could see the chefs cooking real food and putting it on our plates. Over all, well done to the team at The Dukes Head, a real pub with excellent beer & wine, excellent decor, excellent food and very attentive staff!! I have and will be back again & again & again.
