The Market House, Bridport

My friends and me were very excited to eat at the markethouse seeing as we really enjoy the place for a couple quiet drinks after work - with a really nice atmosphere and outside area, but we were bitterly dissapointed when we came to eat there last wednesday. It took the waitresses ages to take our order, not offering us drinks at any point throughout our meal. We then had to wait 40 minutes for our starters when there were no more than 15 people in the resurant (including us) and after our starts another 30 minutes for our main courses, which is where it all went wrong...
The waitress started handing out our plates - not warning us thay were extremly hot before passing them over. Three of the seven meals were advertised to come out with homemade potatoe wedges - yet they came out with undercooked crinkle chips. A steak ordered rare came out medium and when sent back came out once everyone had finished there meals and then it was still overcooked and too chewy to eat. The waitresses did a good job of dealing with the problems - but could have walked further away from the table before they started to talk about us...
We left extremely dissapointed and when one of the group went back in to grab a coat left behind - he found the waitresses F-ing and swearing about us.
I will not be eating there again - but will still be popping in for a drink - aslong as I am not served by the same rude waitresses I was at the meal.
