The Spotted Cow, Lower Bourne

Just got back from Sunday Lunch at The Spotted Cow and won't be going there again.

Had a pitiful roast beef with "yorkshire pudding". It arrived with a very burnt pancake like crust on my plate. There were a few of us having a roast and everyone had this strange object on their plates.

We went to see the manager, who duly got the chef and then told him not to speak as he wanted to show him how he dealt with complaints. He said it was the last batch of yorkshires and that's the way it was. After saying we probably wouldn't be coming here again he stated "OK, then there is no point in talking to you anymore". No apology, no sorry would you like something else, nothing.

Well we WON'T be going again thanks.

When we were leaving there was a very large table of people next to us who had booked, but amazingly nearly all the options had run out - GREAT, how can that happen when they know people are coming. It wasn't even that busy either.

The waitress on leaving explained that the head chef had left a couple of weeks prior, the waitresses complain about the look of the food going out but are told to "shut up".

What a great management team. Well done!!!!!
