The Coopers Hotel (Y Cwps), Aberystwyth

A great little pub. OK so it's changed a lot from how it used to be - i.e. it's CLEAN now! Brilliant landlady and bar staff who keep the place spotless and serve great Felinfoel Double Dragon superbly kept. Always shows the rugby on TV.

The Ship and Castle, Aberystwyth

Easily the best pub n Aber for reliably good beer - the Wyve Valley is fantastic. I agree with the comments about the toilets - time for a spot of modernisation there, Ian! Feel perfectly acceptable for a woman on her own - though the age group of the clientele varies according to whether it's uni term-time.

The English Rose, Luton

It's just such a great, friendly pub with wonderful beer. what more could anyone want? I work abroad quite a bit and it's always the first pub I fancy visiting after drinking all that ghastly foreign lager. Great landlord and friendly staff too.
